Friendship Cask #1 marks the beginning of a new chapter - the first in a series of three exclusive single casks, released only to Friends of Laphroaig. Each cask chosen for its own character. Each available to a select few, through ballot alone.

Friendship Cask #1 comes from Cask No. 803978, fully matured in a first fill sherry hogshead. Twelve years in the making, this cask carries all the richness that time and sherry wood can bring.

Gold brown in colour, with a depth that reflects the years spent maturing on Islay.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma. Savoury smoked ham, chocolate-dipped cherries and rich wood notes.
Taste. Rich, smoky and complex. Wood from the cask layers on the savoury smoked ham note and the juicy cherries carried through from the nose.
Finish. Effervescent and robust - the smoke tingles on the tongue for eons.

Friendship Cask #1 isn't for sale for just anyone. It's released through ballot, exclusively to Friends of Laphroaig - a single cask, just 312 bottles, and no second chances once they're gone.
